It shouldn't be this long between blogs!

It's been a summer of highs and lows and I apologize for taking some time off from blogging.   My family found out in May that the baby my sister she expecting had a missing valve in her heart and would require open heart surgery.  They went to Shands in Gainesville and after 3-4 weeks after my niece's birth, they performed open heart surgery on her.  It was a really scary time and we are so thankful that the surgery went well and little Abby is home with us.  She was at the hospital for 54 days with her parents staying with her.  We were blessed with neighbors and friends that helped us along the way.  The support was overwhelming.  Unfortunately, a few weeks after we got little Abby home, my dad passed away suddenly from a bowel obstruction.  We had gone to Shands for a checkup with Abby that somehow lasted 5 hours and my dad had called to say he was sick.  We got home around 7 and took him straight to the ER but he was very, very sick and his heart stopped when they tried performing a procedure to try and get his blood pressure up.  I miss Dad so much.  Things just feel like they'll never be the same.

Enjoy your parents (even the things that annoy you, I miss those things the most), appreciate God's blessings and if your children have their health, know what a treasure that is.

Live, Laugh, Love

If my year had a theme it would be live, laugh, love.   I am so blessed to have been able to capture those moments and this is why I do it.  Thank you ALL for an extraordinary year!
